BRIGADIER S S WADUGE RWP RSP USP ndu psc ASSUMES OFFICE AS THE NEW BRIGADIER GENERAL STAFF IN SECURITY FORCE HEADQUARTERS (WANNI)

Brigadier S S Waduge RWP RSP USP ndu psc assumed office as the new Brigadier General Staff of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) in an auspicious time on 16 October 2018.

He succeeds Brigadier H P N K Jayapathirane RSP who has been appointed as the new General Officer Commanding of 21 Division.

Brigadier S S Waduge RWP RSP USP ndu psc is from Gamunu Watch and has held numerous important appointments during his military career in Command, Instructor and Staff appointments at various levels. Within the Battalion he has held platoon Commander, Company Commander, Battalion Second in Command and Battalion Commander appointments. In Command status he has held the appointments sush as Brigade Commander.

n his instructor capacity, he has served as the Senior Instructor in Sri Lanka Military Academy. His cereer has been further exemplified as the Commandant of Combat Training School in Ampara. As Staff appointments, he has served as a Staff Office Grade I at the Army Headquarters as well as the Office of Chief of Defence Staff and Force HQ, Minustha in Haiti

Before appointing as the Brigadier Genaral Staff in Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) Brigadier S S Waduge RWP RSP USP psc has served as the Assistant Millitary Secretary (AMS) in Military Secretariat Branch in Army Headquarters.
