BRIGADIER A P WICKRAMASEKARA USP psc ASSUMED OFFICE AS THE NEW BRIGADIER GENERAL STAFF OF SECURITY FORCES HEADQUARTERS (WANNI)

Brigadier A P Wickramasekara USP psc of the Sri Lanka Signal Corps, the newly appointed Brigadier General Staff of SFHQ (W) assumed office on 01 June 2022 at the SFHQ (W) during simple ceremony.

Symbolic of his formal acceptance of the new office, he left his signature in a formal document after religious observances as the auspicious minute struck. Several Senior Officers were also associated with the inauguration of the new office.

During his illustrious military career, he has served varying appointments in different capacity in Command and Staff. Prior to this appointment, Brigadier Ajith Wickramasekara served as the Director of Army Research, Analysis, Projection and Development Branch.
