BRIGADIER K G M S FERNANDO ASSUMES OFFICE AS THE NEW BRIGADIER GENERAL STAFF OF SECURITY FORCE HEADQUARTERS (WANNI)

Brigadier K G M S Fernando assumed office as the new Brigadier General Staff of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) in an auspicious time on 18 January 2021.

Brigadier K G M S Fernando is from Sri Lanka Armoured Corps and has held numerous important appointments during his military career in Command and Staff appointments at various levels. Within the Regiment he has held Troop Leader, SQN Commander, Unit Second in Command and Unit Commander appointments. In Command status out from the Unit, he had performed as Brigade Commander.

Before appointing as the Brigadier General Staff in Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) Brigadier K G M S Fernando has served as the Brigade Commander of 144 Infantry Brigade.
