85 Tamil school children belongs to selected families with low income in Kokkutoduvai, were given exercise books as a support for their education needs, by 9 Gajaba Regiment on 25 September 2014 at Kokkutoduvai GTM School, Mullittivu at a simple function organized by the 9 Gajaba Regiment.
The Commander Security Force (Wanni), Colonel of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, and Competent Authority for Displaced Personnel in the Northern Province Major General M H S B Perera RWP RSP USP ndu psc brought honour to this occasion as the chief guest with the participation of the chief incumbent of Kokkilai temple, the preist of St. Mary’s church, the General Officer Commander of 62 Division Brigadier KGD Perera RWP RSP USP IG, the Brigade Commander of 622 Brigade, Brigadier TD Weerkoon and senior Officers, Officers, Divisional secretary Mr. Dileep Kumara, Grama Niladhari, Large number of school children and teachers were among the partcipants for this program which exhibited to the world, the reconciliation between the Tamil civilian with Sri Lanka Army.
Meanwhile The Commander Security Force (Wanni) visited the rehabilitated LTTE members live in Kokkutoduvai and Kokkilai areas and had a discussion with them regarding their imperfections of facilities. The Commander took this opportunity to visit the area and meet the civilian to search about their facilities and requirements.
