623 Infantry Brigade conducted book donation program 16/03/2023 at the Ambagahawewa Ashoka Jayanthi primary school in 5 (v) GR AOR.
5000.00 worth of book packs donated among the 49 school children from grade 01 to 05 and 06 teachers of school also provided with gifts for the appreciation of their service.
This program was contributed by reverend Osman de Alwis, reverend Luke Jansen, reverend Richard Jayakumar and reverend Lasantha Jayalath also participated for the event.
General Officer Commanding 62 Infantry Division Major General R A J N Ranasinghe RSP USP ndc graced the event as the chief guest, 623 Infantry Brigade Commanding Colonel B D R Budagoda USP, CAO 62 Infantry Division, CAO 623 Infantry Brigade and CO 5 (v) GR participated the event.
