The termination ceremony of the ‘Basic Tamil Language Course No II (NOV 2024) which was initiated under the direction of Major General J P C Peiris RWP RSP ndc , the COMD SFHQ (WANNI), was held at the 1 Military Intelligence Corps in VAVUNIYA on 23 November 2024 with the gracious patronage of Colonel R M Subasingha RSP, the Colonel General Staff- Security Force Headquarters Wanni. The ceremony marked the end of the course which continued for a period of one month under the direct supervision of Brigadier K M V Kodituwakku ,the Brigadier General Staff - Security Force Headquarters Wanni .The ceremony was decorated by items displayed by students from all units in SFHQ (WANNI) AOR, which highlighted their linguistic enhancement and the interest.
39 male and two female soldiers representing several Regiments of the Sri Lanka Army followed the course enthusiastically and with a notable interest. S/R102498 Pte Dilrangi KGNS of 2 (V) SLAWC was awarded as the best student of the course.
