THE BASIC MEDICINE COURSE WAS CONDUCTED BY 541 INFANTRY BRIGADE FOR THE SOLDIER SERVING IN THE 54 INFANTRY DIVISION AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

With the direction of General Officer Commanding 54 Infantry Division Major General KMPSB Kulatunga RSP ndc psc, the basic medicine course was conducted by 541 Infantry Brigade for the soldier serving in the 54 Infantry Division area of responsibility on 06 May 2024 to 11 May 2024. Total of 00 x 40 other ranks were participated for the course. The aim of this course is to develop the basic knowledge and understanding of first aid, Ayurvedic medicine and Snake handling. Further, commander 541 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier BYC Fernando RWP USP, were participated as a chief guest during the certificate ceremony at the headquarter 541 Infantry Brigade. The instructor assistance was provided by Dr. Lt. SLYG Kumara SLAMC of Medical Reception Station 54 Infantry Division, Ayurvedic Doctor PA Fernando of Pallemadu Ayurvedic Hospital, Sergeant Kumara MGNG Medical Assistant of 541 Infantry Brigade and Sergeant Abeysingh BAMGSIRK of Commando Regiment Special Warfare Training School.
