THE BASIC ENGLISH COURSE WAS CONCLUDED SUCCESSFULLY
Eighteen officers were awarded the certificates on 03 March 2017 after following the Basic English Course, organized by the Security Force Headquarters (Wanni).\r\n\r\nThe course was conducted from 31 January 2017 to 03 March 2017 with the supervision and guidance of the Commander Security Force Headquarters (Wanni), Major General J R Kulatunga RSP ndc psc.\r\n\r\nThe aim of conducting the course is to improve the reading, writing, listening and speaking skills of the officers under the different formations of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) Area of Responsible.\r\n\r\nAll student officers were engaged in class room assignments, discussions, presentations and various kinds of language related activities enthusiastically.\r\n\r\nThe final examination was taken place at the end of the academic sessions.\r\n\r\nAfter considering the marks in three different aspects (Work Grade, Presentation and Written Test), Captain D D L Wishwakumara RWP RSP from Gamunu Watch became the first in order of merit of the course. The second place was obtained by Second Lieutenant M U Ekanayake - Gamunu Watch whilst third place was obtained by Captain (QM) S N D A W M M Senavirathna - Sri Lanka Signals Corps and R M G G Senarathna - Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment.\r\n\r\nThe course was concluded with the certificate awarding ceremony headed by the Brigadier General Staff, Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) Brigadier H P N K Jayapathiran RSP with the participation of Colonel General Staff and General Staff Officer II (Training). Subsequently, a Tea Party was organized with the coordination of student officers by inviting to the all staff officers of Security Force Headquarters (Wanni).\r\n
