ASSUMES OF DUTIES BY COMMANDER 652 INFANTRY BRIGADE

Colonel W A U S Wanasekara RWP USP assumed duties as the new Commander of the 652 Infantry Brigade amid religious blessings at the 652 Infantry Brigade Headquarters on Friday (16).

The newly appointed Commander of the 652 Infantry Brigade was warmly welcomed by Staff Officers and honoured with a Guard Turnout which presented by the troops of the 10 Battalion of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry on arrival at the premises. To mark the formal acceptance of his new office, Colonel W A U S Wanasekara RWP USP placed his signature in a formal document to mark his assumption of duties, amidst religious observances in the presence of senior officers and other ranks.

Subsequently he was invited to plant a sapling in the premises as a gesture of memory. The Commanding Officer of 10 Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry and Brigade staff was present at the occasion. The formal address to the officers and other ranks following an All Ranks Tea culminated the day’s proceeding.
