Three suspected persons were arrested with 101 Kg of smuggled Cardamom by troops deployed in Rood Blok at Mannar Bridge at 2200 hours on 23 December 2020.
The suspects were trying to transport those bulk of Cardamom by a Lorry from Mannar to Kandy. Approximate value of arrested bulk is 2.02 Million Rupees.
Arrested persons, Vehicle and Cardamom were handed over to the Police Station - Mannar for further investigations these illegal items were able to apprehend due to the vigilance of soldiers at the Road Blok.
