9TH COMMANDER OF 541 INFANTRY BRIGADE ASSUMED THE OFFICE

A formal ceremony was taken place to mark the assuming of the office of newly appointed Commander 541 Infantry Brigade Colonel M A D S Munasinghe RWP RSP psc IG on 17 December 2021 as the 9th Brigade Commander.

As the first segment of the ceremony, the incoming Brigade Commander reviewed the Guard Turnout presented on arrival at the Headquarters premises and he was welcomed by the Commanding Officer of 12 (V) SLA. At the auspicious minute Colonel M A D S Munasinghe RWP RSP psc IG assumed the office and took over the duties amid the religious observances. Subsequently Mango sapling was planted the premises of Headquarters office complex followed all rank tea and troop address organized at the Other Ranks’ Mess at 541 Infantry Brigade.

The Brigade Commander expressed his vision at the troop address. Respective Commanding Officers and Brigade troops participated the ceremonial event and extended their best wishes to the new Brigade Commander.
