62 Division celebrated its 9thAnniversary with the series of religious and colorful ceremonial activities on 08th, 09th and 10th of September 2019 at the Divisional Headquarters Galkulama, Padavi-Sripura with the guidance and supervision of General Officer Commanding 62 Division, Major General Dhammika Jayasinghe.
Anniversary celebration was commenced with the Guard Turnout and followed with a Guard of Honour with military formalities accorded to the General Officer Commanding of 62 Division at the main entrance of Divisional Headquarter.
Cricket tournament with inter Branches of Headquarters 62 Division was organised coincide with the celebration on 08 September 2019. The following day evening was prepared for a Musical night to enjoy Officers and Other Ranks under command to 62 Division.
The formal ceremony on 10 September 2019 was comprised with a Tree planting, Troops address at the Headquarters 62 Division. Evening all ranks were gathered in a Dinner night with Participation of over 100 Other Ranks serving under 62 Division.
