In line with the celebration of Army Day, Headquarters Security Force (Wanni), marked the 71th Army Anniversary on 10 October 2020 with the presence of all Officers and Other Ranks of Headquarters Security Force (Wanni).
Commencing the formalities, the Army Flag was hoisted in front of the Headquarters Complex by the Commander Security Force Wanni Major General Dammika Jayasinghe. The event continued with the singing of the Army Song and observing a two-minute silence to commemorate the fallen War Heroes. Then, the Staff Officer II (Administration) proceeded with reading out the message of the Commander of the Army.
Brigadier General Staff SFHQ (Wanni), All Officers, Other Ranks, Army militonlised Persons and Civilians serving in Headquarters Security Force (Wanni) participated in the celebration of this event.
