Troops of 68 Infantry Division donated dining tables and prepared dry ration packs for low income families living in the general area of Puthukkudiyiruppu on Monday (30).
Major General S. Kasthurimudali RSP ndc psc, the General Officer Commanding of the 68 Infantry Division, took the initiative to make the donation, and the troops built the furniture using locally supplied materials. Dry Ration Packs were Prepared by 3rd (v) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment and donated at its headquarters premises. The main financial contribution for this event was provided by the 68 Infantry Division HQ.
General Officer Commanding of the 68 Infantry Division, Colonel General Staff, Colonel Admin and Quartering, Commanding Officer 3 (V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, officers and other rankers were participated at the event.
