65 INF DIV AWARD SCHOLARSHIPS FOR TWO STUDENTS OF LOW INCOME ORPHANED FAMILY

Under the supervision and guidance of the General Officer Commanding 65 Infantry Division Major General Anil Samarasiri, two students (sister and brother of one family) of a low income orphaned family living at No 30, housing scheme, Palinagar,Vavunikulam have been selected for the scholarships. According to the request made by GOC 65 Inf Div, his own sister living in Australia, Mrs. K A Shirani offered to give a scholarship of Rs.5000.00 per month up to the Advanced Level to Pradeepan Kirushalani studying in Grade 8 of Palinagar school and Mr. Eranga Jayakodi Offered to give a scholarship of Rs 3000 per month up to Ordinary Level to Prageeth Dinotheepan studying in Grade 3 of Kollavilankulam Government Tamil Mixed school.

General Officer Commanding, 65 Infantry Division along with Brigade Commander and Civil Affairs Officer of 652 Inf Bde handed over those two financial donations to selected two students in the presence of their Guardian (grandmother).

The occasion was organized by the Commanding Officer 10 SLLI under the supervision of Brigadier Sanjeewa Wanasekara, 652 Brigade Commander on 30th November 2021 at Palinagar School with the presence of principle and teachers.
