Troops of 621 Brigade in collaboration with a group of philanthropists in Hanwella area donated School shoes, Books and other necessary school items for students in M/Kalyanipuara School in Welioya area during a simple ceremony held on 11 January 2019 at the school premises.
Over 135 students in M/Kalyanipura School were gifted with these valuable packs sponsored by a team of 12 donors in Hanwella area and this charitable event was initiated by General Officer Commanding 62 Division Brigadier Dammika Jayasinghe in order to uplift the education of students in far off areas.
The donation programme was organised by troops of 621 Brigade under the directions of Commander 621 Brigade Colonel R A D S S Ranaweera RWP RSP USP psc.
General Officer Commanding of 62 Division Brigadier Dhammika Jayasinghe graced the event as the Chief Guest while Commander 621 Brigade together with Commanding Officers of under command battalions to 621 Brigade and Senior Officers of 62 Division too were present at the occasion.
