Troops of 621 Brigade together with its all under command battalions organized a vivid festival to mark the Sinhala and Hindu New Year on 08 April 2018 under the guidance of Commander 621 Brigade Colonel Kalpa Sanjeewa RWP RSP USP.
Number of traditional and fun-making games such as Bicycle race, Cross Country race, Grease Pole climbing, Pillow-Fights, Tug-of-War, Fancy Dress Parade, Identifying Concealed Guest, selection of the Princes, Prince and little Princes, Prince of the New Year dominated the day’s proceedings to the much amusement of all onlookers.
The General Officer Commanding 62 Division Brigadier Sanjaya Wanigasingha RWP RSP USP graced this occasion as the chief guest.
At the end of the festival, the chief guest and several Senior Officers gathered to give away the gifts to the winners in different competitions.
Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and large number of Civilians participated in the occasion and they all gathered in a delicious traditional lunch at the culmination of the Day’s events.
