613 INFANTRY BRIGADE CELEBRATES ITS 5TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY ON 06 FEBRUARY 2016
613 Brigade splendidly celebrated the 5th year anniversary on 06 February 2016 with traditional military customs and norms giving priority to religious observances with the guidance of Col MWAA Wijesuriya RWP RSP USP – 613 Brigade Commander. Series of event were carried out to be a line with celebrations.\r\n\r\nThe anniversary was initiated by conducting “Bodhi Pooja” at 613 brigade headquarters, flag blessing ceremony at Tachanamarudamadhu Hindu temple and the church on 16, 22 and 24 of January 2016 . \r\n\r\nThe anniversary program commenced with a Guard Turnout presented to the Brigade Commander 613 Infantry Brigade by 24 Gajaba Regiment troops. Followed by Brigade Commander Address, Planting of a tree and all ranks tea were arranged on the same day. \r\n\r\nIn parallel to this anniversary celebration, a musical show was arranged in the evening for the troops. For this event troops of 26 SLLI and 24 GR also participated to enjoy the evening.\r\n\r\n613 Brigade staff and Other Ranks, civil staff were participated the anniversary celebrations.
