61 DIVISIONS BECAME 2015 WANNI BASKETBALL CHAMPIONS
61 Division emerged the champions in Security Force (Wanni) inter division basketball tournament 2015. Seven teams participated for the tournament. 61 Division beat last year’s champions 21 Division during the finals which was played in the Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) basketball court on 23 October 2015. Commander Security Force (Wanni), Maj Gen MHSB Perera RWP RSP USP ndu psc graced the final ceremony as the chief guest and witnessed the final match. Lt Col Mahinda Rajapacksha who led the 61 Division team became the player of the tournament and received the champion trophy from the Commander Security Force (Wanni). Colourful and eventful final ceremony was witnessed by large number of officers and other ranks of under command formations and units.
