Troops of Headquarters 61 Division and its under command formations with the supervision of General Officer Commanding 61 Division, Brigadier KDCGJ Thilakarathne RWP RSP organized a tree planting campaign at the premises of Headquarters 61 Division on 01 June 2019.
The programme was organized coincide with the National Tree Planting week stated by the Government in order to launch such projects island wide. Over 50 valuable saplings were planted during this tree planting drive sponsored by the Forest Office Vavuniya.
The General Officer Commanding 61 Division, Senior Officers, Officers and number of Other Ranks of Headquarters 61 Division attended the programme.
