The 5th anniversary of the 61 Division of the Security Forces Headquarters - Wanni, was marked with a few special programmes on 30 May 2013.
At the commencement of the day’s programme, troops accorded a Guard Turn Out following a Guard of Honour to the Division’s General Officer Commanding, Brigadier DMWWWMRBM Daulagala RSP.
After receipt of the salute, Brigadier DMWWWMRBM Daulagala RSP was invited to plant a tree sapling in the premises as a token of memory.
During the event, distribution of prizes and merit awards to the best sportsmen in units under the 61 Division who did well in the volleyball, cricket tournaments, marathon races and tugs of war, prior to the Division day, took place, adding importance to the day’s entertaining feature. Also organized a all ranks lunch parade.
All those projects received the support of Brigade Headquarters and formations serving under the 61 Division.
