Troops of 61 Division organised a donation campaign on 12 September 2018 to provide essential cricket items, which were a long felt requirement for Students of V/Puthukulam Maha Vidyalaya to uplift their school cricket standard.
According to a request made by the Principal of V/Puthukulam Maha Vidyalaya, Mr S Subasgaran, the General Officer Commanding of 61 Division Brigadier K D C G J Thilakarathne RWP RSP directed his troops to organise this charitable programme.
The donated cricket items pack was comprised with Bats, Head Gears, Cricket Glows, Pads and Other necessary items. The Foundation for Goodness financially assisted to provide all these sports items.
The Cornal General Staff of 61 Division graced the donation programme as the chief guest while members of the Foundation of Goodness, Senior Military Officers, the Principal of V/Puthukulam Maha Vidyalaya together with his staff members and Students participated in the event.
