56 INFANTRY DIVISION DISTRIBUTE ESSENTIAL FOOD ITEMS AMONG NEEDY FAMILIES

In conjunction with the 27th anniversary of 56 Division under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding 56 Infantry Division Major General S.Kasthurimudali RSP ndc psc initiated another welfare project to address the basic requirements of all communities living in their territory.

On the guidance and direction of S. Kasthurimudali RSP ndc psc, troops coordinated a distribution program of dry ration packs and essential food items for low- income families representing all communities residing in Kokeliya area on 12Sep 2024. A number of 20 families were benefitted upon the timely initiative of 56 Infantry Division and they were distributed with dry ration packs inclusive of samba rice, onions, dhal, salt, spices, flour, sugar, soya meat, mung beans, tea, sugar, chocolate and papadum. The financial donations given by troops of 56 Infantry Division.
