56 INFANTRY DIVISION CONTINUES DONATING OF SPECTACLES FOR VISION IMPAIRED PEOPLE IN NANDIMITHRAGAMA

Extending human generosity, troops of the 56 Infantry Division organized a programme of donating spectaclesas continuation of Nandimithragama Eye Clinic at 'B' Company of 11 Gemunu Watch camp premises with the collaboration of Assist Resettlement and Renaissance Organization on 24 April 2024 with the aim of assisting 166 visually impaired people in Nandimithragama.

The Programme was launched under the direction of General Officer Commanding 56 Infantry Division, Major General S Kasturimudali RSP ndc psc the coordination with Commander 563 Infantry Brigade Brigadier Y M S C B Jayathilake RSP USP and Commanding Officer of 11 Gemunu Watch N K H R Nanayakkara RWP Lsc with the generous contribution of the Secretary of Assist Resettlement and Renaissance, Dr. Sarveswaran.

The General Officer Commanding of 56 Infantry Division, Staff of Assist Resettlement and Renaissance, Deputy General Officer Commanding of 56 Infantry Division, Commander 563 Infantry Brigade, Civil Affairs Officers of 56 Infantry Division and 563 Infantry Brigade, Commanding Officer 11 Gemunu Watch, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated for the event.
