56 DIVISION’S NEW GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING MAKE HIS INAUGURAL VISIT

Major General S Kasturimudali RSP ndc psc, General Officer Commanding 56 Infantry Division, paid his formal visit to 563 Infantry Brigade and its under command Battalions of 7 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, 11 Gemenu Watch respectively on 17 and 18 February 2024.

General Officer Commanding was warmly welcomed by Commander 563 Infantry Brigade and briefed on area responsibilities and duties. Within the short stay, General Officer Commanding signed the Visitors Book at the headquarters of 563 Infantry Brigade and left to 7 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment.

General Officer Commanding was welcomed by 7 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment saluting with Guard Turnout at the main entrance and he addressed troops and finally, General Officer Commanding marked his visit by planting a 'Mahua' sapling.

Second phase of the visit was scheduled to 11 Gamunu Watch unit on 18 February 2024. General Officer Commanding was welcomed according to the traditional military customs by Commanding Officer, Officers and all tooprs of 11 Gemenu Watch After all, General Officer Commanding visited the unit area and Nandimithragama.

Deputy General Officer Commanding, Brigade Commander - 563 Infantry Brigade, Colonel General Staff, Commanding Officers appeared for the event.
