56 DIVISION’S NEW GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING MADE HIS OFFICIAL VISIT

Major General S Kasturimudali RSP ndc psc, General Officer Commanding 56 Infantry Division, paid his formal visit to 562 Infantry Brigade and its under command battalions of 12 (V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment 17 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry respectively on 19 February 2024.

General Officer Commanding was welcomed according to the traditional military customs by Commander 562 Infantry Brigade and briefed on area responsibilities and duties. After that he addressed troops. General Officer Commanding signed the Visitor's Book at the headquarters of 562 Infantry Brigade and marked his visit by planting a coconut sapling. After that he left to 12 (V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment.

General Officer Commanding was warmly welcomed by CO12 (V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment and visited camp area. After that General Officer Commanding visited Bde bdry at Parangi Aru Bridge, he visited De mining site at Periyathampane and Pavatkulam tank belongs to 17 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry area.

Dy General Officer Commanding, Brigade Commander - 562 Infantry Brigade, Colonel General Staff and Commanding Officers appeared for the event.
