The General Officer Commanding of the 56 Infantry Division, Major General S. Kasturimudali RSP ndc psc, paid a formal visit to the 561 Infantry Brigade and the battalions of the 10 Sri Lanka Light Infantry and the 16 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment on 4 October 2024.
The General Officer Commanding was welcomed according to traditional military customs by the Commanding Officer, officers, and all troops with a Guard Turnout at the main entrance of the 10 Sri Lanka Light Infantry. He then addressed the troops before proceeding to the 561 Infantry Brigade.
At the 561 Infantry Brigade, he was received by the Brigade Commander with a Guard Turnout at the main entrance. During his short stay, the General Officer Commanding signed the Visitors' Book at the brigade headquarters before moving on to the 16 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment.
At the 16 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, the General Officer Commanding was welcomed with traditional military customs by the Commanding Officer, officers, and all troops, with a Guard Turnout at the main entrance. Then He addressed the troops.
The Brigade Commander of the 561 Infantry Brigade, Colonel General Staff, and the Commanding Officers participated in the event.
