54 Infantry Division Troops conducted Dengue eradication campaign

Under the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces (Wanni) Major General k M P S B kulatunga RSP ndc psc and on the instructions of the Major General A M C Abeykoon RWP RSP USP ndc General Officer Commanding, 54 Infantry Division, the Dengue Eradication Programme was conducted on 09 July 2025 in conjunction with the “Clean Sri Lanka” initiative. The programme was implemented under the direct supervision of the Commanders, 541, 542 and 543 Infantry Brigade, with the participation of troops from the Infantry Brigades.

The program was carried out under the leadership and supervision of the Army, comprising 06 officers and 400 other ranks, and covered 100 selected schools within the areas of responsibility of the Infantry Brigade. It actively engaged school students and their parents with the objective of preventing the spread of dengue.
