To mark the 75th Independence Day and to support the ongoing governmental efforts to promote the Green Agriculture Project the 54 Infantry Division has launched a programme to plant 500 cashew saplings inside the camp premises at Talladi with the participation of Officers & Other Ranks of the Division.
This programme was organized on the directions of General Officer Commanding Major General W W H R R V M N D K B Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, and the inaugural phase commenced by planting 100 saplings in an extent of 1 acre on the Independence Day. The remaining 400 sapling will plant in due course with the patronage of Sri Lanka Cashew Corporation.
