54 DIVISION TAKES LEAD CULTIVATING COCONUT TREES COMBINE WITH TEAM OF HEMAS GROUP PLC
Troops of 54 Division combining with a team of Hemas Group PLC organized a coconut cultivation project in Mannar district and cultivated approximately 100 coconut plants in the camp premises as the initial stage.\r\n\r\nThe program was guided and supervised bythe General Officer Commanding of 54 Division Major General Athula Galagamage.\r\n\r\nThe main member of Rain Forest Protecting Organization, Mr Jayantha Wijesinghe conducted a lecture regarding environmental preservation in Sri Lanka coincide with the plantation program. This was great opportunity to 54 Division soldiers to enhance their knowledge on particular subject.\r\n\r\nThe General Officer Commanding 54 Division, Senior Officers, Officers, representatives of Hemas Lanka PLC and large number of Other Ranks were present at the occasion.\r\n
