Troops of 54 Division together with its all under command battalions organized a Sinhala and Hindu New Yearfestive session on 16 April 2018 at the playground in Division Headquarters under the guidance of General Officer Commanding 54 Division Major General G J A W Galagamage.
Number of traditional and fun-making games such as Bicycle race, Cross Country race, Grease Pole climbing, Pillow-Fights, Tug-of-War, Fancy Dress Parade, Identifying Concealed Guest, Beauty Pageant, dominated the day’s proceedings to the much amusement of all onlookers.
The General Officer Commanding 54 Division Major General G J A W Galagamage graced this occasion as the chief guest.
At the end of the festival, the chief guest and several senior officers gathered to give away the gifts to the winners in different competitions.
Senior Officers, Officers and large number of Other Ranks gathered in the Day’s events.
