THE 54 DIVISION, CELEBRATED ITS 5TH ANNIVERSARY AT THALLADY CAMP MANNAR
The 54 Division, celebrated its 5 Anniversary on 21 and 22 Sep 2015 by giving special attention to religious and welfare activities. \r\n\r\nOn 21 Sep 2015 following religious functions were conducted to invoke blessing from Mohidin Jumma mosque at Mannar, a special poojawa at Thirukeswaran Kovil and a special mass at St. Annes church, Vankalai. \r\n\r\nOn 22 Sep 2015 Commander Security Forces Headquarters (wanni) was invited as the Chief Guest for the opening of Other Ranks accommodation building (100 x 20) which was funded by the Commander of the Army and WO’s and Sergeants accommodation building (100 x 20) which was funded by Commander Security Forces Headquarters (wanni).\r\n\r\nAlso on the same day an all night Pirith Pinkama was held with the participation of Commander Security Forces Headquarters (wanni) and GOC’s of Security Forces (wanni) AOR, \r\nthe Government Agent Mannar and several invitees from the Mannar area.\r\n
