5 (VOLUNTEER) MECHANIZED INFANTRY REGIMENT ALONG WITH THE LOCAL RESIDENTS CONDUCTED A PROGRAMME OF ALMS GIVING AT VELLANKULAM PILLAIYAR KOVIL ON THAI PONGAL DAY.

Under the guidance of Brigadier I P Jayasinghe RWP Commander 541 Infantry Brigade on Thai Pongal Day, a programme of alms giving was conducted at Vellankulam Pillaiar Kovil on 14 January 2025 with the participation of 01 x 10 troops 5 (Volunteer) Mechanized Infantry Regiment and villagers. Also, this programme was done to foster harmony between the army and the civilians.
