In support of the national "Clean Sri Lanka" initiative, troops of the 5 (V) Mechanized Infantry Regiment, under the 541 Infantry Brigade, conducted a comprehensive cleaning programme at St. Anne’s Church, Sippiaru, on 15 June 2025.
The programme was organized in response to a request made by the Chief Priest, Rev. Father Peter Lowrance Liyon, and was carried out under the direct supervision of the Commanding Officer of the 5(V) Mechanized Infantry Regiment.
Officers and Other Ranks of the 5 (V) Mechanized Infantry Regiment actively participated in this programme, which reflects the Army's continued commitment to civil-military cooperation and national environmental objectives.
