A formal ceremony was taken place to mark the assuming of the office of newly appointed Commander 211 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier A M C P Wijayaratne RWP RSP psc on 20th January 2022 as the 38th Brigade Commander.
As the first segment of the ceremony, the incoming Brigade Commander reviewed the Guard Turnout presented on arrival at the Headquarters premises and he was welcomed by the Senior Staff Officer 211 Infantry Brigade. At the auspicious minute Brigadier A M C P Wijayaratne RWP RSP psc assumed the office and took over the duties amid the religious observances. Subsequently Mango sapling was planted the premises of Headquarters office complex followed all rank tea and troop address organized at the Conference Hall at 211 Infantry Brigade.
As the final event of the day’s proceedings, the Brigade commander addressed the troops and the Brigade troops participated for ceremonial event extended their best wishes to the new Brigade Commander.
