21 INFANTRY DIVISION ORGANIZED A PERTINENT LECTURE ON CPR (CARDIO PULMONARY RESUSCITATION)

Under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding 21 Infantry Division Major General W M S C K Wanashinghe RSP USP, the 21 Infantry Division along with 212 Infantry Brigade organized a pertinent lecture on CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) in parallel to Wednesday training. The main focus of lecture was to educate military personnel on life - saving procedures when the heart is stop beating during an emergency cardiac arrest. The lecture was conducted on 23 October 2024 at 21 Infantry division Headquarters by a team of doctors from teaching hospital Anuradhapura headed over by Consultant Anesthetic Dr. Vishaka Kerner (MMBS MD FRCA MRes) and Dr. Lewan Kariyavasam (MMBS MD). 20 Officers and 150 soldiers from 21 Infantry Division and 212 Infantry Brigade took part in the training programme.
