Continuing the welfare activities of constructing houses for deprived families in Wanni region initiated by the Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General Jagath Gunawardena RSP VSV USP ndc psc, another newly constructed house funded by Bodyline Pvt Ltd was declared opened on 30 August 2019.
This house was given to the family of Mrs. M P Rohini, a widow living with great difficulties in Kalyanipura, Welioya. The family of Mrs. M P Rohini was sheltered in a wattle and daub dilapidated hut without any basic facilities. After observing this, the General Officer Commanding of 21 Division Major General Kumar Jayapathirane RSP through his personal affiliations, coordinated Mr Venura Aththanayake the Director of Bodyline Pvt Ltd to sponsor the cost of construction. Troops under 21 Division with the supervision of General Officer Commanding of 21 Division Major General Kumar Jayapathirana RSP undertook the construction.
Further, this needy family was benefited with electricity, essential house hold items etc to make easier routine lives of this helpless family.
General Officers Commanding 21 Division Major General Kumar Jayapathirane RSP, as the chief guest graced his presence for the brief ceremony of vesting newly constructed house to owners while the Director of Bodyline Pvt Ltd Mr Venura Aththanayake and the Manager Human Resource of Bodyline Pvt Ltd made their presence as the guests of honour.
Senior Officers representing Headquarters 21 Division and its under command formations, family members of beneficiaries and many villagers too were present at the occasion.
