As a continuation of social welfare activities initiating by Security Force (Wanni) under the supervision of the Commander Security Force (Wanni) Major General H J S Gunawardena RSP VSV USP ndc psc, troops of 21 Division in collaboration with DOK Solution Lanka PVT Ltd organised a donation on 19 July 2019 for distributing computers for students at A/Yakawewa and A/Puleliya schools in Medawachchiya Divisional Secretariat area.
In view of enhancing the knowledge on Information Technology of students in underprivileged areas, the General Officer Commanding of 21 Division Major General H P N K Jayapathirane RSP stepped forward to coordinate this programme through the benevolence support of DOK Solution Lanka PVT Ltd.
The DOK Solution Lanka PVT Ltd through its social welfare funds sponsored financially for donating 2 computers for each school and set of booklets for Grade 1 - 11 students at A/Puleliya school.
The donation was taken place during a brief ceremony organised by troops of 213 Brigade under the supervision of Commander 213 Brigade Colonel K A W S Rathnayake.
The occasion of donating these items was graced by the General Officer Commanding of 21 Division Major General H P N K Jayapathirane RSP along with Ms Prabodhani Wanigasooriya from DOK Solution Lanka PVT Ltd graced the occasion as chief guests while a former veteran cricketer Mr Roshan Mahanama and his daughter were present as guests of honour.
The Commander 213 Brigade Colonel K A W S Rathnayake, members of DOK Solution Lanka PVT Ltd, Ms Renuka Senadeera of Nation Trust Bank, Commanding Officers of under command battalions to 213 Brigade, Principals together with teachers of benefited schools and large number of students too were present at the occasion.
