Batch of 167 returnees who underwent the two-week long quarantine process at Pampeimadu Quarantine Centre (QC) left for home this morning (28) from respective locations after completion of medical procedures and receipt of Quarantine Certificates.
The groups, segregated according to their residential towns were provided with Army transport facilities for their destinations in Colombo, Kaluthara, Panadura, Galle, Mathara, Kurunegala, Gampaha, Puttalam, Chilaw, Negambo, Ja-Ela, Wattala, Jaffna and Trincomalee areas In addition, troops Issued them with snacks, water and lunch packets on their way with special focus on infants and kids.
Security Forces Headquarters (Wanni) Commander Maj Gen Rohitha Dharmasiri ndu psc, Commander Forward Maintenance Area (N/C) Maj Gen LPR Premalal USP, General Officer Commanding 56 Division Maj Gen Jaliya Senarathne RWP RSP all Bde Commanders, Officers and Other Ranks were there to see them off upon successful completion of their quarantine period.
