In parallel with the Clean Sri Lanka Programme, together with the “Wildy Tuskers” Organization and under the full supervision of Brigadier B.A.M.P. Balasuriya RSP, Commander of the 212 Infantry Brigade, the third consecutive day of the program was carried out at the Bund of Balalu Tank on 07 September 2025 from 0900 hrs to 1300 hrs. During this program, invasive plants such as Agada and Japan Jabara, which obstructed the lifestyle of elephants, were removed from an extent of approximately 4 to 5 acres.
Furthermore, from 05 to 07 September 2025, the programme was conducted for three days covering the areas of Kala Wewa, Kalagama, and BalaluWewa. During this period, nearly 30 acres of Japan Jabara and Agada invasive plants were successfully cleared.
