HISTORY
593 Brigade was raised on 31 December 2008 and launched into the battle on 16 March 2008 with 15 SLLI and 9 VIR whilst 7 GW joined the Brigade subsequently.
At latter stages of the operations 593 Brigade was detached from 59 Division and attached to 53 Division on 02 February 2009 with 15 SLLI, 9 SLSR, 7 GW, 14 GR and 4 VIR and subsequently placed under command to newly raised Task Force 8 on 15 February 2009 and re-designated as 681 Brigade.
New 593 Brigade was raised on 15 February 2009……..
As per the re - deployment plan 593 brigade again regrouped with 2 (RFT) GW, 2 (V) GW and 5 (V) SLSR from 07 Nov 2009.
