Security Force Headquarters Central and 12 Division donated 150 bicycles among school children of identified low-income families living in Monaragala, Siyabalanduwa, Badalkubura, Buththala, Wallawaya and Thanamalwila areas on Tuesday (26). Ven. Bellanwila Dhammarathana Nayaka Thero, Advisor Singapore Buddhist Library and Incumbent, Bellanwila Raja Maha Viharaya sponsored the gift of bicycles. Major General U.A.B Medawela, Commander, Security Force Headquarters - Central as the Chief Guest together with the Singapore delegation, Government officials, senior officers, school principals, teachers and parents attended the distribution ceremony.

Security Force Headquarters - Central organized a Christmas celebration with Christmas Carols at the Church in Diyatalawa Army Cantonment on Wednesday (25). The programme was organized with the intention of promoting religious coexistence among different communities and under the guidance of Major General U.A.B Medawela, Commander, SFHQ(Central). The day's service was conducted by Rev Fr. Christopher Balaraj and Brother Joseph Johnson and carols were sung by the beat group of 7 Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC). Commander SFHQ(Central) as the Chief Guest distributed gifts among kids who attended the event. Senior officers, other ranks and a large gathering of civilians attended the occasion.
