A special awareness programme, headed by the Commander Security Force (Central), Major General AKS Perera WWV RWP RSP USP ndu in order to be in line with the International Anti-Corruption Day, was held at the Security Force Headquarters (Central) premises with the participation of a large gathering of Officers and Other Ranks of the SF HQ (Central), and the Volunteer Force Training School on 09 December 2015.
The occasion commenced with singing the National Anthem and then observing of two-minute silence in memory of fallen War Heroes. Subsequently, the Commander SF (Central), addressing the troops, mentioned that everyone should desist from giving or accepting all sorts of bribes and the discipline could thrive only in the absence of corruption and bribery.
On the same occasion, the oath for the Anti-Corruption Day was read out by Colonel UR Abeyratna RSP, the Colonel General Staff of SF HQ (Central).
