A shramadana campaign was conducted by the troops of the training school of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) at Diyakapanathota Viharaya, Getambe in the Kandy District which is located in the responsible area of 11 Division of Security Forces (Central). In accordance with the guidance of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G R H Dias VSV USP ndc psc IG, 10 Other Ranks participated in this charity campaign on 06 August 2018 and they were blessed by the Buddhist monks at the temple.

The wild fire occurred on 08 August 2018 in Sapugoda Kanda, Aanapallama in the Monaragala District was doused by the troops on the direction of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G R H Dias VSV USP ndc psc IG. The affected area is located in the responsible area of 121 Brigade of Security Forces (Central).

A cleaning programme was launched in the Kandy District aiming to clean the city prior to the Esala Perahera by the military personnel on the direction of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General N U M M W Senanayake RWP RSP VSV USP USACGSC and the supervision of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G R H Dias USP ndc psc IG on 06 August 2018. This programme was named “The Environment is Worshipful” (Parisaraya Pujaniyai) in which 02 officers and 60 soldiers from 11 Division and its under command training schools actively contributed to conclude this cleaning programme successfully.

Donating blood is the most charitable affair in one’s life. Accordingly, Troops of Security Forces Headquarters (Central) also voluntarily donated blood at a campaign which was organized by Kebillewela Sri Sudarmodaya Maha Pririvena for the 14th memorial ceremony of late Most Ven.Kandegedara Sumanawanshabhidana Thero. Further, this charity campaign was held on 05 August 2018 at the Pririvena premises in Bandarawela.

Pallekele Viru Kekulu Pre- School which is located in the responsible area of 11Division of Security Forces (Central) organized a fair (Singithi Pola) at school premises on 26 July 2018. Accordingly, Mrs Chandani Herath, a senior member of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit participated in this event as the chief guest. Further, Brigadier H M S Herath, the in Charge of the Pre-School Project at 11 Division and other senior officers as well as other ranks at 11 Division also participated in this event. Teachers of the Pre-School as well as the parents of the kids assisted the children to sell their goods at the fair.

In accordance with a request made by the mother of late Lance Corporal Ranbanda from the Commander of the Army, a utility pole which had been erected blocking the entrance of her home was removed on the mediation of the Troops. Accordingly, troops at 112 Brigade assisted the Electricity Board, Haliela on the direction of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G R H Dias VSV USP ndc psc IG on 26 July 2018 to remove the pole.
