The wildfire occurred on 12 September 2019 around 1730 hours in Bogahakumbura area, Bandarawela was extinguished by the troops on the direction of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G J L Waduge RWP RSP VSV USP ndu. The affected area is located in the responsible area of Security Forces (Central). Therefore, one officer and twenty soldiers from the Headquarters of Security Forces (Central) reached the place immediately to douse the fire.

For the 8th consecutive year, a bodhi puja was organized to offer 50000 Nelum flowers by Sri Sudharmarama Viharaya in Haldummulla on 07 September 2019. Responding to a request made by the Chief Incumbent of the temple, Ven. Kahagolle Ananda Thero, ten soldiers of Security Forces Headquarters (Central) participated in this Bodhi Puja under the instructions of the Commander Security Forces (Central). Further, the fallen as well as disabled military personnel were also remembered at this religious ceremony.

The Aurvedic Hospital in Diyatalawa is facing a great difficulty in providing water to patients to fulfill their requirements. Further, this has become a disturbance for the continuous treatments of the admitted and OPD patients. Therefore, the measures have been taken to dig a well in the hospital premises in order to fulfill the requirement of water. For this, military assistance was requested and one officer and eight soldiers are engaged under the direction of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G J L Waduge RWP RSP VSV USP ndu.

A shramadana campaign was organized on 06 September 2019 by Nuwara Eliya Police in order to celebrate the 153rd Anniversary of Sri Lanka Police. Representing the Sri Lanka Army, one officer and twenty soldiers of 3(V)Sri Lanka Singha Regiment (3(V)SLSR) under command to Security Forces Headquarters (Central) provided the labour assistance to clean the surrounding of Gregory Lake. Further, persons representing, Sri Lanka Police, Sri Lanka Air Force and Nuwara Eliya Municipal Council contributed for this shramadana campaign.

The affected area is located in the responsible area of Security Forces (Central). A team consisting of one officer and twenty soldiers reached the place immediately and doused the fire completely.

Troops of Security Forces Headquarters (Central) conducted a shramadana campaign at Sri Karumal Amman Kovil premises in Haputale on 26 August 2019. In accordance with the instructions of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G J L Waduge RWP RSP USP VSV ndu, troops of this Headquarters participated in this campaign. The Chief Pujari and others in the Kovil extended their gratitude towards the military personnel for their active participation to complete the campaign successfully.

A wild fire has occurred in Ella Rock area in Kumbalwela which is in the responsible area of Security Forces (Central) on 23 August 2019 during morning hours. As instructed by the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G J L Waduge RWP RSP USP VSV ndu, one Officer and twenty six Other Ranks who are serving at Security Force Headquarters and 112 Brigade have taken prompt actions to douse the fire.

A special charity programme was organized by the 12 Division of Security Forces (Central) under the direction and supervision of the Commander Security Forces (Central) Major General G J L Waduge RWP RSP USP VSV ndu and according to a concept of the General Officer Commander of 12 Division, Major General P W D K Jayathilake USP ndu. The programme was successfully organized to donate 100 dry ration parcels (Sugar, Green gram, Gram, Dhal, Tea Powder, Coconut, and Chilly) to selected poverty stricken families in Weerahela Grama Niladari Division.

In accordance with a concept of the Commander of the Army, new innovations exhibitions are organized each year by all the Security Force Headquarters and in parallel with that, the Security Forces Headquarters (Central) also organized an exhibition of the same nature under the direction and supervision of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G J L Waduge RWP RSP USP VSV ndu. The exhibition 2019 was held on 23 August at the Torch Cinema Hall of Sri Lanka Military Academy.

A blood donation campaign was organized by the Welfare Association of the District Court of Kandy on 15 August 2019. Since this was taken place in the responsible area of 11 Division, twenty three soldiers donated blood to save the precious lives of patients who are in need of blood under the direction of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G J L Waduge RWP RSP VSV USP. Moreover, the organizing committee extended their gratitude towards all the donors for their sincere support provided to make this communal effort a fruitful one
