  • GRADUATION OF LONG GUNNERY STAFF COURSE (OR) FD- 16

    Graduation Ceremony of the Long Gunnery Staff Course (LGSC) FD – 16, which commenced from 10 February 2020 to 08 January 2021, was held on 08 January 2021 at School of Artillery, Minneriya.

  • COLONEL COMMANDANT’S VISIT TO ARTILLERY COMPLEX – MINNERIYA

    The Commander, Security Forces – Kilinochchi and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Artillery, Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda ndc IG paid his maiden visit to the Artillery Complex Minneriya on 22 and 23 November 2020 after assumed the duties.

  • THE PASSING OUT PARADE OF POST DEPOT COURSE FD 216/A

    The passing out parade of the Post Depot Course FD 216/A was held at 10 Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery, Vasavilan on 21 November 2020. A total of 56 gunners, belong to 8 SLA, 10 SLA and 14 SLA, joined the “Gunners Tribe” after successful completion of training. Colonel SASUKB Senanayaka, the Colonel General Staff - SFHQ (J) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. S/166150 Gnr Sandaruwan WMP 14 SLA was awarded with the Best Gunner Trophy.

  • THE PASSING OUT PARADE OF THE POST DEPOT COURSE FD 216

    The passing out parade of the Post Depot Course FD 216 was held at the School of Artillery, Minneriya on 20 November 2020. Lt Col N C Lokugalappaththi IG SLA graced the event as the Chief Guest, which was attended only by the gunners of the passing out course and limited Officers and Other Ranks available at the Artillery complex Minneriya, due to the restrictions on prevailing pandemic situation across the country. A total of 92 gunners step up from the School and joined the "Gunners Tribe" after successful completion of 8 weeks hard training at the school of Artillery. The replica of “Lewke Gun” for the Best Gunner, standing first in the Order of Merit was awarded to S/ 2099689 Ranaweera RANN from 6 SLA.

  • FAREWELL TEA PARTY FOR THE OUTGOING REGIMENTAL SERGEANT MAJOR - SLA

    In appreciation of his dedicated service and valuable contribution rendered to the Regiment of Artillery as Regimental Sergeant Major, farewell tea party offered by all Officers and Other Ranks of the Regimental Headquarters, Panagoda to the outgoing RSM, Warrant Officer - I KSDP Kariyawasam USP on 17 November 2020.

  • Regimental Sergeant Major, Warrant Officer - I KSDP Kariyawasam USP’s service appreciated

    Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM) of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery, Warrant Officer - I KSDP Kariyawasam USP, prior to his retirement received appreciation and commendation from the Colonel Commandant of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery, Major General KNS Kotuwegoda ndc IG for his exemplary service to the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery, on 13 November 2020. Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda awarded a memento to the retiree as a symbol of appreciation and commendation.

  • Artillery Complex at Panagoda was disinfected with the aegis of St. John Ambulance Brigade to prevent spread of COVID - 19 Virus

    The Artillery Complex at Panagoda was thoroughly disinfected on 6 November 2020 as a measure of preliminary precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 Virus. This programme was organized by the Artillery Seva Vanitha Unit with the aegis of St. John Ambulance Brigade.

  • Brigadier GWL Mahinkanda assumed duties as the Comd FMA (North)

    Brigadier GWL Mahinkanda assumed duties as the 33rd Commander of Forward Maintenance Area (North) on 07 October 2020 at the Headquarters in Myliddy, KANKESANTURAI.

    The day’s proceedings were commenced with the Guard turn out accorded to the incoming Commander at the main entrance. After a brief religious observance, the new Commander left his signature in a formal document to mark the official acceptance of the new office. The day’s proceedings concluded with planting of a sapling followed by all ranks’ tea.
