The Defence Advisor to the High Commission of Pakistan in Sri Lanka Colonel Muhammad Safdar Khan paid a visit to the School of Artillery on 20 September 2021. The day’s programme commenced with the formal briefing by the Commandant on basic functions of the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery and School of Artillery followed by Artillery equipment display, exchange of mementos and a group photograph to mark this official visit. The Defence Advisor enjoyed a tea with the School of Artillery staff at the Officers’ Mess. The Defence advisor appreciated the arrangements made for him and conveyed his gratitude to the Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery.

The Passing Out parade of the Post Depot Course FD - 217 was held at the School of Artillery, Minneriya on 18 February 2021. Col W W L P Fernando IG (Colonel Admin & quartering) 53 Infantry Division (RSF) graced the event as the Chief Guest. A total of 83 new gunners were passed out after successful completion of 9 weeks of hard training at the School of Artillery. The replica of “Lewke Gun” was awarded to S/165903 Gnr Wijesinghe WHMNS from 7 SLA who emerged as the “Best Gunner” of the course. The passing out parade was organized while respecting all rules and regulations with respect to the prevention of Covid-19 Pandemic.

The Annual General Meeting of the Sri Lanka Artillery Seva Vanitha Branch & Acknowledgement of Grade 5 Scholarship Winners took place on the 13th of February 2021 amidst a small scale gathering of members at the Artillery Officers’ Mess – Panagoda.

The Artillery inter unit, Tennis Training Programme and tournament -2021, organized by the 6th Field Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery, held during 11,12 and 13 February 2021 at Tennis Court, RHQ SLSC Panagoda. Lt Col ONJ De Silva USP IG the Commanding Officer, 6th Field Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery graced the certificate awarding ceremony as the Chief Guest.
