6th Field Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery Celebrated it’s 34th Anniversary on 01 September 2019 at Regimental Headquarters, Panagoda.

Lieutenant Colonel L C K Pathirana RSP IG SLA relinquished the appointment as the Commandant, School of Artillery on 31 August 2019. A series of formalities observed in connection with the relinquishment of the appointment which commenced with the reviewing of the Guard Turnout accorded to the outgoing Commandant. Subsequently, the Commandant addressed the troops and participated for the all ranks tea arranged by the staff of the school. A farewell dinner was organized at the Officers’ Mess to bid farewell for the outgoing Commandant by all officers at the Artillery complex.

The Intake 87 under the training at Sri Lankan Military Academy - Diyatalawa paid an academic visit to the School of Artillery on 24 August 2019. The aim of the visit was to familiarize the final term cadets to the realistic scenario as to acclimatize with the functions of the different arms and the entities within the Army and the tri services.

5th Relay Carnival of 56th Army Athletics Championships - 2019 was held on 21 August 2019 at Sugathadasa National Sports Complex, Colombo. Sri Lanka Artillery athletes have performed well and team achievements are as follow. Regiment of Artillery wish and congratulates all athletes who have brought glory to the Regiment.
