As part of its continued commitment to the well-being of military families, the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Commando Regiment successfully organized a series of Pregnant Ladies’ Welfare Programmes across multiple Regimental deployments, including Regimental Headquarters – Ganemulla with 1 Commando Regiment and 4 Commando Regiment, Commando Regiment Training School (CRTS) – Uva Kudaoya, 2 Commando Regiment – Kilinochchi, and 3 Commando Regiment – Vavuniya.

The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Commando Regiment organized a Poson Ice Cream Dansala at the Regimental Centre, Commando Regiment, Ganemulla, at 1600 hrs on 10 June 2025. The event was held in celebration of the sacred Poson Poya, with the noble intention of commemorating the advent of Buddhism in Sri Lanka while fostering compassion, unity and generosity within the Regimental community.

The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Commando Regiment successfully conducted an Apparel Entrepreneurship Training Program at 1400 hours on 27 April 2025, at the Commando Regiment Centre. This initiative was launched under the vision and guidance of the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs Samindie Wikramarathne, together with the active support of the branch members.

The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Commando Regiment organized a Women’s Empowerment Program, which was successfully held at 1500 hr on 31st March 2025. The event, aligned with global celebrations of women’s achievements, took place under the patronage of Mrs Samindie Wickramaratne, the Honourable Chairperson of the Seva Vanitha Branch and was coordinated by the dedicated team of the Branch. The occasion was further honoured by the presence of the advisor to the Branch, Commander of the 53 Infantry Division and Colonel of the Regiment, Major General KHMS Wikramaratne RSP.
