Sewa Wanitha

The Seva Vanitha Branch of the Commando Regiment organized a Women’s Empowerment Program, which was successfully held at 1500 hr on 31st March 2025. The event, aligned with global celebrations of women’s achievements, took place under the patronage of Mrs Samindie Wickramaratne, the Honourable Chairperson of the Seva Vanitha Branch and was coordinated by the dedicated team of the Branch. The occasion was further honoured by the presence of the advisor to the Branch, Commander of the 53 Infantry Division and Colonel of the Regiment, Major General KHMS Wikramaratne RSP.

The Dry Ration Pack Distribution Program, organized by the Commando Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch, was successfully held on 23 March 2025 at Commando Regiment Training School (CRTS) Uva Kudaoya. This initiative was envisioned by the Commander of the 53 Infantry Division and Colonel of the Regiment, Commando Regiment, Major General KHMS Wickramaratne RSP, together with the Honourable Chairperson of the Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs. Samindie Wickramaratne.

The Diabetes Prevention Program, organized by the Commando Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch, was successfully held on 26 February 2025. The initiative was envisioned by the Commander of the 53 Infantry Division and Colonel of the Regiment Commando Regiment, Major General KHMS Wickramaratne RSP, along with the Honourable Chairperson of the Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs Samindie Wickramaratne and other members of the Seva Vanitha Branch.

On December 14, 2024, the Commando Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch organized a heartfelt event at the Commando Regiment Headquarters in Ganemulla. Under the leadership of Mrs. Samindi Wicramarathne, President of the Seva Vanitha Branch, the event featured the distribution of essential gift packs for pregnant mothers among the wives of Other Ranks and civilian staff. Thirteen expectant mothers were presented with valuable items for themselves and their babies, ensuring their well-being during this special time
