On October 5, 2024, the Commando Regiment Seva vanitha Branch hosted a vibrant series of events for the children of Commando Regiment families at the Commando Regiment Swimming Pool Complex, in celebration of World Children’s Day. The event featured Mrs. Nimali Ranathunga, President of the Commando Seva vanitha Branch, alongside dedicated members of the branch.
Seva Vanitha members of the Commando Regiment Seva Vanitha Unit with its Chairperson, Mrs Anuja de Silva recently visited the inmates at Mihindu Seth Medura (MSM) - Attidiya and spent a few hours with them. During their stay, those disabled War Heroes were treated to a sumptuous lunch and given gift parcels as incentives. Those War Heroes were also entertained to Calypso music during the visit.
Commando Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch visited the Abimansala - II at Kamburupitiya on 10 February 2019. The Colonel of the Regiment Major General RA Nugera WWV RWP RSP USP ndu and President of Commando Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs. Rosetta Nugera and other members of the seva vanitha branch were participated for this visit.
The President Mrs. Rosetta Nugera and other members of Commando Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch donated 88 Nos of Ceiling Fan for Commando Regiment on 03 December 2018.
Alms Giving Ceremony and Dharma Desana Pinkama, organized by the Commando Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch was held at Regimental Centre Commando Regiment on 16 October 2018 under the guidance of Mrs. Rosetta Nugera, President of Commando Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch.
This Dharma Desana Pinkama was conducted by Ven Morawaththa Subodha Thero.
The President and other members of Commando Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch, Centre Commandant, Senior Officers, Officers and all ranks of Commando Regiment took part in the event.
The Commando Regiment Seva Vanitha President Mrs Rosetta Nugera and other members of the Commando Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch visited the Abhimansala at Pangolla on 25 August 2018. Colonel of the Regiment Major General RA Nugera WWV RWP RSP USP ndu, Centre Commandant Brigadier RPDU Rajapaksha RWP RSP and Commanding Officer Regimental Head Quarter Battalion Lieutenant Colonel RGLK Weerakoon RWP RSP were also participate for the visit.
Artificial legs has donated to the 7 Commando Soldiers, who has been injured during the operation commitment at various locations in the country. It has arranged by President Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs. Rosetta Nugera and donated on 01 January 2017.
Commando Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch has conducted visit at Abhimansala – Anuradhapura on 15 November 2016. Centre Commandant Brig RPDU Rajapaksha RWP RSP and President Seva Vanitha Mrs. Rosetta Nugera has lead the event with other members. During the visit Lunch has been arranged for the patients and Donation has given for their daily requirement.
Donation programme has conducted for the Commando member’s Children, who has performed best results during the grade 5 examination on 10 October 2015. During the programme necessary school items has divided within the children.
Psychological Programme has conducted by the Commando Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch on 29 November 2015 at Commando Regimental Centre, Ganemulla. It has schedule for the Officers and their families. Colonel of the Regiment Brig R A Nugera WWV RWP RSP USP ndu was the Chief Guest at the event.
