The Annual General Meeting of the CES Seva Vanitha Branch was held on 13 December 2019 at the Corps of Engineer Services Regimental Headquarters under the patronage of Dr Mrs Niroshani Ganegoda, the Hon President of Corps of Engineer Services Seva Vanitha Branch. The Annual General Meeting was participated by a large number of Seva Vanitha Members. Major A C C Lakmali CES, the Coordinating Officer of CES Seva Vanitha Branch conducted a presentation on the activities carried out by the CES Seva Vanitha Branch during year 2019.
The President Dr Mrs. Niroshini Ganegoda and the Members of the Corps of Engineer Services Seva Vanitha Branch visited the Ragama Ranaviru Sevana on 28 November 2019 in order to inquire into the well being of the resident patients. Also the CES Seva Vanitha Branch gave away Gift packs to the patients and arranged a tea party for them at the end of the day’s programme. The event was organized by the 1st Engineer Services Regiment.
Under the direction of Dr. Mrs. Niroshani Ganegoda the Hon. President of Corps of Engineer Services Seva Vanitha Branch, 2 units of Hearing Aids worth Rs. 160,000.00 were donated to two daughters of Spr Jayalath H S of 6th Engineer Services Regiment who are suffering from hearing impairments. The Hearing Aids were handed over to the daughter of Spr Jayalath H S by Mrs. Deepika Prasanthi Chandrasena, the Vice President of CES Seva Vanitha Branch on 24 October 2019 at Corps of Engineer Services Regimental Headquarters.
Under the direction of Dr. Mrs Niroshani Ganegoda the Hon. President of CES Seva Vanitha Branch 12 Gift Vouchers were given away to 12 children of deceased and disabled War Heroes of the 12th Engineer Services Regiment on 21 September 2019.
Dr Mrs Niroshani Ganegoda assumed duties as the new Hon President of Corps of Engineer Services Seva Vanitha Branch at a simple ceremony held at Corps of Engineer Services Regimental Headquarters following the relinquishment of duties by Mrs Sagara Gunawardena the former Hon President on 10 August 2019. Thereafter the CES Seva Vantha Annual General Meeting was held under the patronage of new President.
A large number of members of CES Seva Vanitha Branch participated in this event.
The President Mrs. Sagara Gunawardena and the Members of the Corps of Engineer Services Seva Vanitha Branch visited the Abimansala II Wellness Resort on 24 June 2019 in order to inquire into the well being of the inmates and presented Gift Vouchers each worth Rs. 5100.00 to 39 dependent War Heroes. During the visit the inmates were provided with refreshments and a Musical Show was conducted to entertain them. Also, Sports Equipment worth Rs. 30,000.00 were donated by the CES Seva Vanitha Branch in order to uplift the Sport skills of the inmates.
To coincide with Sinhala New Year celebrations, under the direction of Mrs. Sagara Gunawardena the President CES Seva Vanitha Branch, the Corps of Engineer Services Seva Vanitha Branch on 12 April 2019 gave away gift parcels worth Rs. 5000.00 each to 20 families of fallen CES war heroes and civil servants who got killed during the past war.
Under the guidance of the President of CES Seva Vanitha Branch , the Corps of Engineer Services Seva Vantiha Branch provided financial assistance to complete the construction of half built house of S/7S00245 Spr Bandara AGN presently undergoing treatments at Ranaviru Sevana Ragama who has become completely disabled following a vehicle accident. The CES Seva Vanitha Branch provided Rs 542000.00 from the Seva Vanitha Fund and the troops of 7th (Vol) Engineer Services Regiment carried out the construction of the house.
Under the patronage of Mrs. Sagara Gunawardene the President of Corps of Engineer Services Seva Vanitha Branch , 100 packs of stationery and school bags each worth of Rs 5000.00 were donated to children of selected families of the members of the CES. Symbolizing this event , 25 stationary packs and school bags were donated to 25 students at Corps of Engineer Services Regimental Headquarters , Panagoda on 13 January 2019. Mr A P Jeyarajah , the Chief Executive Officer of Nithyakalyani Jewellery provided financial support as the benefactor and Maj Gen H J S Gunawardena RSP USP ndc psc, the Master General Ordnance and Colonel Commandant CES, Mr Sivakumar of Nithyakalyani Jewellery , the Preseident CES Seva Vanitha branch and its members participated in this event.
